When does this all go down?
The wedding starts promptly at 4:30pm on Saturday, August 24, 2019.
Where is it, again?
The Saugerties Performing Arts Factory in Saugerties, New York (Google Maps).
Is there a way to get there without driving?
Yes! We have a bus running from our hotels to the venue. It will leave the Holliday Inn in Kingston at 3:15pm, and depart the Comfort Inn in Saugerties at 3:45pm. If there are too many people for one run, it will make one more loop to the Comfort Inn.
How about getting home without driving?
Yes. The same bus will make runs as needed back to the two hotels every hour starting at 8:15pm and ending at 10:15pm. After 10:30pm, we will have an 11-passenger van making runs as needed to anywhere in the Saugerties/Woodstock area. If you plan to drink, please plan to take a bus or van back. If you're driving to the venue, consider carpooling, leaving your car overnight, and picking it up on your way to brunch on Sunday.
How should we tag the content we generate?
Thanks for asking. As you know, in these modern times, weddings aren't just weddings, they're multi-channel brand launch events. To help our agency track engagement and calculate our brand lift and ROI (and help us find all the great photos you take), please use one of our hashtags when posting your statuses, tweets, gram, snaps...tiktoks? We have the straightforward #arielandgabe, or a few fun ones dreamt up by the brilliant Adah Berkovich: #steinzoffthemarket, #onceuponastein, #hiphiphoorazoff, #theyboldlywent.
Are there other events?
Yes. We will be having drinks (cash bar) and light snacks (provided) on Friday from 7:00pm to 11:00pm at Provisions in Woodstock, NY (Google Maps), smart casual attire. On Sunday we will be having coffee and bagels from 10:00am to 1:00pm at the home of Richard Azoff and Sheila Dinaburg-Azoff, casual attire (Google Maps).
Can I bring a plus-one?
The invite list is mostly set, but if you feel strongly, please email us.
Will I be able to eat the food?
Almost certainly. Our buffet will include good options for vegetarians, vegans, gluten freegans, and fodmapizoids. But to be safe, please put dietary restrictions and allergies, if you have any, in the RSVP comments box.
What about kids?
We love your children! But with a few exceptions, we'd like this to be an adult party. We understand this may make it more difficult for some to attend, and will completely understand if this means you can't come. This is the beginning, not the end, of our story, and we look forward to spending time with you and your kids in the near future!
Why do your digital invitations look like a notebook? I thought skeuomorphism was dead...
Our venue is a former factory that used to manufacture composition notebooks.
Enough jokes, what is the damn attire for this occasion?
Gowanus Industrial Vintage Chic.
Really?!
Okay fine, we're going with Creative Cocktail Attire. That just means Cocktail, but don't be afraid to have fun and break the rules.
Also, because Ariel is renting some of her clothing via Rent the Runway (#sustainability), you can get 20% off rentals of your own. Use the code AGWEDDING0824.
What is a Saugerties, how do I get there, and where should I stay?
Finally, questions we're prepared for. See our Travel and Lodging pages for more information.
Why are the names listed on the invite in that strange order?
Gabe built the website himself and forgot to add the ability to do custom ordering, so it's alphabetical by first name.
Gabe, why would you do that?
Good question. I don't recommend it.
But what frameworks did you use?
https://github.com/gabestein/graphql-starter
Lol graphql for a wedding site, really?
Look...
